The Author's Stage

The Author's Stage at Children's Art Centre was started in 1993. It an important component of a long-term project „Promotion of new drama among children and teenagers” supported by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The Stage has presented only Polish premières to date. They are usually presented in cooperation with other artistic institutions, including Culture Centre Zamek in Poznań, Estrada Poznańska, Teatr Animacji, as well as Teatr Wierszalin. The Stage has the following productions to its credit: „Ramdam”, „Olbrzym”, „Świat i już” , „Pokój Kameleon” oraz „W moim domu z papieru tworzę wiersze na płomieniu” by Philippe Dorin, „Nasze sprawy” by Janusz Jezierski, „Nieobecny” by Krystyna Chołoniewska, „Rysunki na pamiątkę” by Bożena Borek, „Serce boksera” by Lutz Hübner, „Sceny z życia ciała pedagogicznego” by Marta Guśniowska.

The most important objectives of the Author's Stage are to promote the latest Polish and foreign drama as well as the authors of innovative, ambitious and non-commercial texts taking up important topics and capable of production in a minimalistic, intimate settings. The plays at the Author's Stage have been directed by: Leszek Dąbrowski, Paweł Szumiec, Piotr Tomaszuk and Jerzy Moszkowicz (the biggest number of premières).
